CARBIDE TIPPED CHAIN
The “Groundsaw” trencher is designed around a new high speed trenching
chain. The bucket design makes it possible to dig in solid frozen earth.
Carbide teeth on all trenching chains are standard equipment with the “Groundsaw.”
The Model H-900 is a completely hydraulic unit including pump and hydraulic
motor on the trenching chain drive. Hydraulic boom depth control, hydraulic
motor traction drive with automatic sensing valve to control forward speeds.
This unit comes completely assembled ready to attach to the
tractor with one pin and one bolt, one sheave to be put on the tractor power
takeoff and slip on two belts, fill the oil reservoir and it is ready to go.
Standard depth is 30 inches, with a 36 inch extension available.
Trench width is from 2-¼”, 3", 4” and on special order, 6”. Hydrostatic
drives make it ideal to control shock loads such as are encountered in
trenching. Oil filter is easily serviced.
These features practically eliminate all
breakage and down time which is costly. The ease of handling this all
hydraulic unit eliminates back breaking hand labor and can be used with the
regular Allis-Chalmers dozer blade for back filling and packing the trench.
With the hydraulic control in the traction drive, there is no stopping
for clutching and shifting gears as the control can be used for forward and
reverse, making it an ideal operation for dozing.
