Can anyone help us solve this mystery? What's a S10G
Landlord -- a predecessor to the Landlord 101? Why/how does it have a 10hp
Briggs & Stratton 23D? The 101s first used the Briggs 243431....
Also, check out the size of this dozer blade and the hydraulic
cylinders used to control it!
Attached are pictures of my 1964? Landlord. The nameplate on
the engine says it's a B&S 23D built in January of 1964. The tractor model
number is 990314, but on the side of the instrument panel there are stickers
that say 10HP and on each side of the hood it says GEAR S10G.
Either way, it doesn't matter because this thing is a workhorse that never
gives up. I have owned it since 1986 and worked it summer and winter
since then. In summer it has a 42" mower deck and in winter it has a 42" plow.
I just wanted to say thanks for a great site. I looked for a site like this
since I bought the tractor and it's ironic, but I lived in Connecticut until
July of 2000 and didn't find your site until I moved to West Virginia.
