Enclosed are photos of my latest toy, a Simplicity model 725
tractor with 42” mower deck and single wheel sulky. I have been a Simplicity
owner since 1960 when I bought a model 700 tractor with 32” mower deck, snow
blade, tiller and sickle bar.
I purchased the 725 tractor with the 42” mower deck and single wheel sulky at
an antique tractor show last summer. It brings back many memories of my first
700 sum 40 years ago. This 725 is all original (almost hate to restore it) and
is in very good condition except the engine needs overhaul. The single wheel
sulky has Simplicity nameplate no. 303 10-00178. I have never seen one like
this. Assume it was made for 2 wheel walk behind garden tractor. (Did not come
with fender - I made this.) Tractor nameplate has serial no. 16784. I assume
it was made in 1961 or 1962. Can you verify the year?
Also enclosed is a photo of my 1958 Ford 641 Workmaster tractor that I
restored 2 years ago. This tractor was featured in ANTIQUE POWER and
N-NEWSLETTER magazines. It is also in OLD IRON 2002 calendar.
