  • Condition at Time of Purchase This tractor, along with a 48" mower, 38" tiller and all the bells and whistles to support it were given to me by SIMPLICITY MANUFACTERING CO. To compensate me for an accident I had while using a 3112H on 06/06/1987, which resulted in the loss of the end of my right thumb just behind the nail. so instead of costing me an arm and a leg, it only cost me the end of my thumb.
  • Condition Now The tractor has had a problem with the Kohler engine throwing connecting rods. The first time the tractor had 295 hrs. on it and was idling under no load. It threw one rod and never quit running, just hesitated a little. After a new short block installed by myself, it ran 37 hrs and this time it was being driven by my son across the road to mow but the deck was not engaged yet. This time Kohler supplied a new short block and I paid the labor. This was in 1992 and no problems since. update-Sept 04 engine threw another rod! did not quit running again. Bought a new Magnum 20 from Small Engine Warehouse hoping this will solve my problems.
