sunstar attatchments

Hello, I would like to buy some used attachments for sunstar.Unfortunatly, I am clueless as to what will work. If I see somthing I want how do I know it will work on my tractor? where would I find used attachments? I have searched e-bay and this site. However, like I said I do not know what I need. slim

Hello again, does the number need to match exacly? MY # is 1692456, I did not see that # on any attatchment. Or, is it just part of the # I am looking to match. slim

Your SunStar #1692456 is the product number of your tractor. It is virtually identical to the Massey Ferguson 2920 #1692507, and the AGCO Allis 1920H #1692460. Here is a link to the Ultima attachments. > http://www.simpletractors.com/deutz/ultima_attachments.htm There are basically three types of attachments. 1) Powered attachments (like a tiller or snowthrower) must have the proper hitch and drive for the SunStar / Ultima tractors. 2) Non-powered attachments (like a dozer blade) only need the proper hitch. 3) 3 Point or sleeve hitch attachments (like a moldboard plow) are universal. Just about any brand will work. Simplicity attachments also have a 169nnnn product number. For an exact fit, you need the exact attachment for your tractor. An attachment with a different number will be different. However, the difference may be very minor, or it may be major.

Yes and no......... The problem is, the x-ref is dated 1981, your tractor is a 1996 (?), so you're not going to find anything listed. All later model Simplicity products start with 169, so that's not much help to you. There isn't much info on this site for tractors built after 1980. To get started, your best bet is to visit your dealer and get a list of all attachments that will fit your SunStar.

You need to get the Attachments Parts Manual for the Sunstar from Simplicity publications. It shows all parts, parts numbers, and attachment model numbers including lifts.
