how do I figure out the year of a B 10? On the tag for model B 10 is all thats there. Can I tell from the serial number or id there a tag besides the one behind the seat? By the way this is my newest $75 dollar toy. It came with a useable deck, very weak spark, rusted switches, and a cracked axle tube. Also for you..sshhh..sears enthusiasts $75 got me a running custom 7 with high and low range but with no center lift and no deck.

It seems to me there was a post or a discussion a few years ago about that. I can`t remember if it was just b-1 or all bs about a serial no. stamped on the side of the frame near the back of the tractor. It`s been some time ago so I am not too sure how it went somebody will proably know for sure JBlack:D

ok guess I'll pry open its mouth and see if there are any readable numbers so I can come close. I was just curious if it was early or late model, not that it matters much..its an A/C. You guys got me hooked.

If it's a 9 Hp with the old diamond AC logos it's a 1964 early model. If it has a 10HP, a bumblebee on sides where it says B-10, and the triangular AC logos, it's a new 1966 0r 1967 model. If the transmission and engine are yellow it's early, if they're black it's late... That'll give you an idea, at least.

67 B112 s had a push button starter 68 s started on the key ,in 68 gov't regs said that tractors could only start in neutral so a solenoid, neutral switch system was added this also applys to B110s Cal
My B-110 has a key start, and saftey switch but no solenoid. Is it supposed to be there? or was it taken off? I looked at the B-110 wiring diagram linked below. http://www.simpletractors.com/images/wiring/wd_110_112.jpg

The other day I was taking the rear diff. off my B-10 and I found a date on the trans case.It is towards the bottom on the right-hand side.I never saw it before because the three-point brackets were there.Take a look once and see if you can find it,never heard anyone mention it before. The date stamped was 12-20-64 b 154058.That had answered my questions about what year. Happy Memorial Day Matt H
