Mower belt ???????

Recommended Posts

MPH
Just in case the grass grows this summer figured I best ckeck out the deck before I go back to work tonight. Found a Simplicity belt # on the belt which is 108209, best I can makeout. Does that sound like the rt # for a 42 inch deck that might have come with the 112 or maybe the parts of the B10 or maybe some other tractor of that vintage. There are no sign of tags or #'s on the deck..Thanks...MPH

Hmmmm, Thanks Maynard. I could see the # good enough to tell it wasn't close to 1719819. Outside measurnebt I got about 84 inches. My college engineer is figuring out mid length.. Sandy Lake, Oh help. Nick figured 82,4...MPH

Does any body know if there are supposed to be numbers or tags on the deck? Steve

Steve, I believe they came with foil stickers. My 42 and rusted up 48 inch both had patent # stickers still on and thre 48 in had a 'clean' spot in the paint where one fell off not too many years ago..MPH

Marty go here, http://www.simpletractors.com/parts/belts/belts_(pg18).htm You'll see what you have and what Maynard posted is correct size wise. Looks like number was superceded at some point in time.

Over a year ago, you answered a question I had about the tool bar for my FDT. In your reply dated Dec 31, 2019  you said the spacer, part #16, goes in the bar to allow for up and down depth adjustment. does this mean the bolt has to be tightened at whatever depth desired or does the bolt slide up and down, allowing the lower hitch to free float?
If it is tightened so the lower hitch and the bar are rigid, then is the depth to be controlled by the shoes? Or by the lift handle?
Is there any kind of user directions for the tool bar? The Outdoor Power Manual basically shows how to assemble the bar but not how to use it
