I am just about ready to start making a seat for the B-10 but have no pattern for the wood bottom. Can anybody measure their seat bottom wood so I can cut a new one? It would be most appreciated. Thanks Kris

Kris, It is very hard to be accurate with the padding on the seat but the best I could measure it was 11 3/4" X 16 7/8" on my Big Ten which is the same seat as a B10.

Thanks Greg, You wouldn't happen to have the back rest sizes also. Hate to be a pain but I should have said both pieces of wood. I have no idea why I said just the bottom. Thanks, Kris

Kris, I get: Seat back = 13 7/8" X 5" Arm rest = 6 7/8" X 2 5/8" The part nos. for the seat back are different for the B10 and the Big Ten so I don't know if they are the same size. The arm rest is the same on both.

Measurements from a late B-110 (#2029927) are: Back = 7" x 14" Seat = 12" x 17" Arms = 2 3/4" x 6 3/4" All made from 1/2" plywood Corners have very slight radius Fasteners = Blind "T" Bolts

Just for clarification and future reference.... There are several differences between the seats for the early and late B-Series. These primary differences are shown at this link: http://simpletractors.com/parts/a-c_seat_cushions.htm (1) The B-110/112 and B-210/212 used a taller seat back, though the bottom of the seats are the same physical size. (2) The mounting holes are different on the bottom of the seats, also, since the B-110/112, B-210/212 mounts the front of the tube that holds the armrests to the bottom of the seat. The B-10/Big Ten mount the front of the tube that holds the armrests to the fenders, not the seat bottom. Sandy Lake uses the same seat bottom for both, and adds the "blind nut" inserts to fit either one to every seat bottom. As best as I can remember, the 3 holes that physically mount the seat bottom to the seat frame on each side are the same, but I'm not 100% sure of that (can't remember what the Big Ten seat frame was like for sure). (3) The B-10/Big Ten seats had sewn pleats, while the B-110/B-112 and B-210/B-212 had heat pleated seats. Since I've been so pleased with the sewn pleated seats from Sandy Lake that I bought for my Big Ten, I chose to put the sewn pleats on my "HB-216" though Bill at Sandy Lake cautioned that they weren't "original" -- I laughed and said that neither was a Sundstrand hydro, cone clutch, 16-HP gear-start Briggs, etc....
