Giving the B-10 a work out.

A friend just bought a house that sat vacant quite awhile and had accumulated a huge weed build up. Tumbleweeds about a foot taller that the hood with 1 1/2 inch or so stalk, morning glories that had built up to about 10 inches, etc. First he tried his push mower, then he switched to a weed eater, neither was making much progress. His dad brought a Murray over that has a mulching kit installed and it would bog down and smoke the belts within 20 feet of starting a pass. So I brought the B-10 over and it cut through everything except the morning glory in second gear, I had to use first gear on them because it was bogging the blades down (but while in first it handled them just fine). Some of the bigger stuff was laying down so a second pass in the opposite direction was needed to finish them. I was impressed. So were they, in fact as we were loading it back on the trailer, his dad asked "What will you take for that?" :)

You're doing good Alan. I usually have trouble mowing with my 210 if the grass is more than 8 to 10 inches high. I usually make a first pass with the deck raised and then make a second pass with the deck dropped. Course, I mow in 3rd. Steve

High range second is faster than low range third. ;)Don't know if I've ever used 1st for anything. Maybe I will, if I get a tiller. :) Steve
