mowwer will not quit turning when disengaged

mower will keep turning when i disengage it on my big ten. Ive got a 1/2 x 34 on pto and 1/2 x 46 on cross drive belt.

Another cause may be missing belt guide. There should be a small 'bout 1/4inch' rod towards the rear of the tractor, behind the belt and one on the bottom of the pulley to keep the belt inplace so it will be lose in the pulleies. Bet you can't mow with it disengauged...MPH

Yes you definatly need the Belt guides I had a similar problem on my B112 the guide was gone and it wouldn't disengage right either....
