allis B10 rear drive pulley

Recommended Posts

The pulley on the transmision of my b10 seems to slip a little under a really heavey
load, seems the set screw was slipping in what used to be the keyway, which has no key in it
with the screw going round and round ,its now cut a groove in the shaft
and the pulley does'nt want to come off, I guess I'll have to invest in a good puller, and maybe drill a hole in the shaft
to screw thatset screw into, or is it supposed to slip under heavey conditions?
Any ideas guys? Oh ya what colour is the mower deck on this model supposed to be?

Mike, The pulley should not be slipping on the shaft. If the shaft and pulley are not damaged too much you should get a key and and fix it the right way. A puller will bend the pulley unless you use a large bearing separator behind it and pull on that. The mower deck should be yellow like the tractor.

Hi Mike, Tim is write for sure the shaft should be fixed the write way. Contact Jeff Nemes- you can get his e-address on I think page four as he left a message on how to clean our tractors-just click on his name and his e-address will come up. He has his own shop and is always suggesting ways to not only repair our tractors but maintain them. Or you can click on back to simpletractors on the top of this page and then click on links when you get there. When you get to the links page just look for Jeff Nemes site to go to. If I recall someone else had a similer problem and he explained to them how to repair it.-->GOOD LUCK-jackl<--

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
