what is the difference between a class 1 hitch and a class 1N hitch? can you adapt one to fit the other safely? Eddy

I thought I had one in my favorites but I don't. Type in 3 point hitch in the google engine and you will find the info. if you do not get some frome here.

Eddy, do you mean Catorgy 1?? As in 3pt hitch rating?? Never heard of 1N. 3pts are rated Cat 0, 1, 2, and 3. which relate to the size and lifting capability.. MPH

Ooops! You are right i meant Cat 1. I believe the N stands for narrow, but that's all I know about it.

Eddy, when I was building the one on my 4040 I got some excelent replys with the different Cat., ratings. Wish I could guide you to it but I'm clueless..Which tractor are you dealing with??didn't think Simplicity built anything bigger then a cat 0. One simple wqay to tell is a cat 0 has 5/8 in pins and a cat 1 has 3/4 in. If its the same catoragy I don't think the N would hurt in modifing..MPH
