Axles seem to be moving in and out.

I clean up my B-12 tranny on a pretty regular basis. All the oil that spills out of the shifter in the back of the tractor catches a lot of grass and dirt as I am sure all Bee owners are aware:). I have been noticing that where the axles come out of the rear end that it shows up shiney like the axles are moving in and out of the case. It is almost 3/8 wide. Is this normal? Do I need to do some preventative maintanence? Thanks guys, in advance. Hope you put my mind at ease.xx(

My B-110 and 3410 Landlord leak from the shifter, I think there is an O-ring or some kind of oil seal that must have gone bad, I plan to tear down my B-110's transmssion and put all new seals in it. Sorry but I don't know about the axel. -Chris

I first thought it was both axles but it is only the tube axle that is moving. Can I ignore this?
