engine paint

Hello I,am fixing up a couple of old engines . got one running good clean it up an painted it look pretty good untill I spilled some gas on it pretty much wash the paint away . what is a good paint to spray a engine with ? Thanks for your time Greg

A high temp engine paint, can be found at your local auto supply store, for around $4.00 a can.

When you are painting an engine, is there anything you want to mask off? I'm thinking maybe the ends of the starter, coil, carb??? Or inside the shroud screen so no paint goes under it?? Dan
