I HAVE A PROBLEM ON A 3210V WITH THE STARTER-GENERATOR. IT GENERALLY STARTS (VERY SLOW) OK BUT OCCASIONALLY(LIKE NOW)I ONLY GET A TIC-TIC SOUND(LIKE A STUCK SOLENOID)& THE STARTER-GENERATOR WILL NOT ROTATE.I HAVE TRIED USING JUMPER CABLES ITH NO SUCCESS. I'M NOT REAL FAMILIAR WITH THE ELECTRONICS OF THIS ARRANGEMENT. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY GUIDANCE OR SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO SOLVE THIS SITUATION. WHAT DOES A NEW OR REBUILT STARTER-GENERATOR COST?? IF NEEDED DOES ANYONE HAVE ONE FOR SALE?? THKS,TOM

Tom, Your problem doesn,t sound like the starter/generator is bad, it sounds more like wiring, selenoid, or battery. Is the battery being charged? What is the general condition of the wiring and the battery clamps? The 3210 also has a safety switch under the seat pan that keeps the starter from working when the tractor is in gear, I had that go bad on a 3212. I think it would be much less costly to have your starter/generator rebuilt at a shop than to buy a new one if it is in fact bad. Tim
