I found a wards walk behind and I want to know if it is a Simplicity. Dose anyone what Simplicity called the walkers and what model engine it would have. the one i have has a chilton engine on it. It looks close to the simplicity walk behinds. Thanks Erich

Karl Brandt has compiled a plethora of information on the walk behind tractors. I have a wards "Plow Trac Garden Tractor" which is a Simplicity FC. The original engine is a Clinton 4 hp. Karl's information is as complete a reference source as I have seen.

Check the ID plate. If the numbers start with MID, then it was made by Midland and not Simplicity. The attachments were interchangeable, but the Midland tractors were less expensive than the Simplicity-made ones.
