Agricola Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 I have just got my 700 running and when I took it for a spin I realized the bolts that hold the seat in sure are a pain in the ###. Since this unit does not have any material on it I am wanting to put an original style seat. How did they cover the nuts on the studs and where can I get something to replace that which is missing?
DanBov Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 Is this the two piece seat , bottom and backrest ? If it is I've seen the bottom piece attached with bolts that go up through the seat pan , through the backrest support brackets and into a 3/4 " plywood seat base . The bolts are just long enough to thread onto " T " nuts that are installed into the plywood base . If they thread through the " T " nuts just cut them .
Agricola Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 This is a pan seat. It has the crimpping rim around the edge.
Kent Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Hmmm.... Sounds like someone's maybe replaced the seat or seat deck, if it's a 700 Wonderboy. I thought (not sure) that virtually all the 700s had two-piece seats. The first ones certainly did, as shown here...
rokon2813 Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 kinda off subject but that must be some pretty soft sod in that picture to pull that plow that deep with no wheel weights and those tires
