3210v grinding when shifting

The trans belt needs to come to a full stop before shifting - especially when already in neutral. Check for full clutch throw (too tight on the brake adj will not allow the clutch to fully release), check for proper belt adjustment procedure and also try with the vari speed lever in the slow position (may help slow it quicker). Also give it some time to slow down - especially when in neutral. If you do a search on this you will see this has come up before.

Bunky, Jeff's right on. Sounds like the belt is still moving, turning the transmission pulley. Start with this adjustment, at the link below. Make sure you follow it step-by-step, with the varidrive lever in the correct position -- do not move the varidrive lever with the engine off or clutched...[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/service/vari-drive_adjustment.htm']http://www.simpletractors.com/service/vari-drive_adjustment.htm[/a]
