mbrook Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 I have a tiller mfg #990174 that I plan on using on my 3212V mfg #990570. I checked the "What Fit's" at simpletractors, it states that I need a tiller conversion kit #103085. I got on the Simplicity Publishing site and printed off a copy of the kit. The problem is the kit just states what it includes and what to replace, no part numbers. I have my local dealer looking up the old part numbers to see if it references a new part number. By looking at the parts that are to be replaced (clutch rod, rod guide, spring and lock nut) I'm assumming that this kit extends the clutch engagement lever beyond the seat deck of the 3212. Does anybody have the extended parts or any more info on this? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks
Kent Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Mark, I mounted the 32" tiller and tiller drive from a Big Ten on my B-210 (same as 3210V). I only had to make a 2.5" longer clutch rod... This old post might be helpful... not sure if that's exactly what you're trying to do or not. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=1586
mbrook Posted July 30, 2003 Author Posted July 30, 2003 Kent, reading this post must have been like deja vu. Thanks for posting the link to your previous thread. I searched the archieves but must have typed something wrong. I'll kept this link so I can re-read (over and over). Do you still use that set-up? If so do you have any pictures of it? Thanks again and thanks for the great site.
Kent Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 No sweat, Mark. That's what this place is all about... No, I don't use the tiller on the B-210 any more, since it is how a Sundstrand hydro with a cone clutch. I mounted it on an another Big Ten that I pieced together....
