IronPony Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Cut grass a little yesterday with my AC712 and it seemed to take a wider swath than my MTD mower. Both are 42" advertised width mowers. Do both manufactures measure the same way?? Or is it just som much more fun to cut grass with my AC that the time goes faster and it seems like it takes me less time to cut the same area:D Dan
bhenry Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 I don't know about MTD, but my Simplicity 42" mower cuts 42" and its overall length is listed at 43". Maybe the MTD measures the deck width and not the actual cut width...
