tractors101 Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Hello everyone, I was at a local auction today and they had a 60" mower deck there that looks EXACTLY like the 60" deck on my 4040. The only difference was that the discharge was left hand not right hand. Does anyone know if Simplicity ever made some kind of a tractor with the same mower deck as a powermax just as a left hand discharge? When it comes auction time I'm planning on buying it anyways even if I have to do a little modifying just to make it work on a powermax, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of some kind of a simplicity that would have the same deck just as a left hand discharge (this mower deck has all the same mounting brackets as the deck on my 4040). Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Mark
jackcobb Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 The deck is off the 5020 / 5030 Allis-Chalmers Ag tractors. They run the opposite direction than the powermax's, wella the LH discharge. Club member Jeff G has converted one over to a RH discharge with a blue tip hammer and welder.
