Something to watch out for with hydraulics

I was up under the 920 and found the PTO lever was wearing a hole into one of the hydraulic hoses. Those little hoses look proprietary only, I doubt if the local hydraulics shop could fabricate one.

Alan, are they steel lines? A good hydraulics shop should be able to make these up. They aren't anything special. We have a guy near here that works on manlifts, he makes them up all the time. It's justs a matter of having the right tools and tubing. (and knowing how to use them) If they are rubber hoses, you might be right.

Not sure about these AC's Alan, but my local NAPA made me one for that 16hp gilson I had for the hydro cyl. It worked great..MPH

Understand that this is for a totally different tractor, but I had both hoses made for my hydraulic lift on the HB-216 for under $35 at my local Agway farm store....

I used to make hoses in the hydraulic shop in the navy all the time. No big deal. ddh

The one that has the damage is steel, and has about a 270 degree bend in it starting about 1.5 inches from the fitting at the cylinder.

you can braze holes shut in lines do it all the time on tractors ya need to take the line off and blow all the oil out then take a wire brush and clean any rust or dirt off of the spot then take a torch and swipe over the hole a cupple times to burn all the oil out. make sure after ya braze it if it still rubs on the spot put a luttle peice of rubber hose split over it to keep from wearing on the line.
