tej
The breakerless ignition box has been mentioned many times on this forum. My question is where does it pick up it's timing. Is there a sensor that mounts in the breaker housing? Do you still use the magnito or do you go to a coil? Tim
dlcentral
You continue to use your existing coil.Instead of the points turning the coil on and off this little box does it electronically.Timing is built into the electronics of the box.It has to have a good ground to function properly,is the only requirement. You simply re-rout the wires going into the points box to this thing, ground it good and that's it!Prices apparently run form 12 to 20 bucks depending where you get it.Points of today as we ALL know are NOT the quality they once were. CHINA MADE probably even the OEM Briggs ones. Just like everything else made today! dlc
