MDB Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Kind of a rare item there Doug, Looks like some very active bidding.... I'll bet the seller is happy^:D
jkmustang1 Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Made by Jacobson:) They also made m-m and ford and later white and others:) Check out Findlay pics that MDB posted in events:) He got a shot of a good collection of them and yes Oliver is real rare8D
Chris727 Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Is there a relation between Gilson and Jacobson? -Chris
MPH Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Chris, Not that I've heard of. Went back and studied that oliver and I don't much to relate the two, least not to the 71 gilson I hide under a blue tarp..MPH
Kent Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Both Oliver and Minneapolis-Molines were made by Jacobsen, as were old Fords... The Oliver is the rarest 4-wheel tractor I know of... the MM is also expensive... it would likely go for $2000 or more in that condition. As far as I know, there's no relationsip of Gilson to Jakes..
bigcountry Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 I used to have a Jacobsen mower, but it was too far gone to mess with.
