I have a Tecumseh HM100 and the carb is beyond repair.10 year gas and rust on shafts.I have no other numbers on the case because they are rusted beyond reconition.I believe it is a series 3 or 4.Where can I get a new carb at a decent price?

That carb is probably an old Carter. I dont know if you can get a new one or not but I do know the used ones are in high demand for tractor pullers around here. If you could post a close up picture maybe someone has a good used one they would part with, who knows??

There are nine different carbs shown in my Tecumseh parts manual for the HM100. Do you have the engine spec number? If so I can try to give you original tecumseh parts number for the carb. Steve

Thanks very much but it has 110 volt electric starter and the switch is over the serial number.Though the years the snow and water collected under it and at that point the cover is almost rotted through and through.I will take any carb that bolts up to the intake and modify the rest. Its off a snowblower that has fast and slow and all the way slow kills the engine.I am going to transplant it to my son's go kart so there is lots of modification anyway.

I can give you the different part numbers if you want. I think all of them will bolt up okay. At least you would have a starting point for ebay. I've noticed a lot of the stuff there goes by part number. Steve
