7117 tractor B series blower

Recommended Posts

Les
I have done this. Bought a used hitch from Al Eden. Bought a brand new 144" belt from Simplicity for 46 bucks, hooked everything up and guess what? The belt was loose, too long. The older blower is one inch shorter that the blowers made for the newer tractors. They made them longer to keep from hitting the bigger hoods on the newer models. I ended up having the hitch welded longer to push the blower forward 1". It works fine. This is assuming that your tractor has the two position PTO idler pulley setup. All but the very first 7100 series tractors have this.

Dave, if you click on my name to see my profile you can go to my photo gallery. I have the dimensions for the 7117 hitch there, you may have to modify the length for the older blower. Don
