gregc Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 I was about to ask about Maynard too. Didn't know if he was on vacation or ailing. Glad to hear he's OK. Sounds like he could use a vacation about now though.
UCD Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 I was in Middleltown, NY. Met the guys and picked up my tiller,Then to Cliffton Corners NY. and picked up the HB-212 Friday. Sat. I did some work around home. Sun I met Rob in Grand Isle, VT. Then went to Burlington, VT. and picked up 100 landscape stones. Mon. went to Saco, Maine then to Ashland, Maine. Tue worked on Wifes family House roof. Wed. back to Saco, Maine then back to Newport, VT. I got home at 8:30pm last night logged 2200 miles. Got my feet planted for a few days I hope.
Kent Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Welcome back! Obviously you were missed... So, is the HB-212 as nice closeup as it looked in the pictures?
UCD Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Kent It is a nice tractor a few scraps and dings otherwise in nice shape. It starts on about ½ a spin with no throttle or choke. no smoke, steering is tight. Mower deck has a few wear spots where feet have worn it of othen than that deck looks almost new. He had the vickers rebuilt 2 years ago. He said it didn't leak before that but leaks now about 3 qts a season but he was moweing about 5 acres with it. I noticed a small spot on the garage floor but that is it. tires show hardly any wear and are not wheather cracked.
roma3112 Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Maynard nice loooking machine, what are your plans for it?
Kent Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Wow! That is one nice looking original tractor to be 34 years old or so...
thedaddycat Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Nice hitch pin!! Rear PTO too, I see..... Hmmmm, what else is there... Nice to have the pulley for the cable lift sickle bar mower, can't quite see if the front PTO pulley is there with belt stops... Guard for center PTO, and belt stops? Single or double wheel weights? Did you ever get the HD snowplow? I have one in yellow....
Roy Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Maynard, Nice looking tractor. Glad you are back. I missed the e-bay ads. Cheers,
UCD Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 John It's going to be my mowing tractor. Kirk It has double wheel weights no front pully or belt guides. The rear pto and cable lift pulley went to Rob with the sycle bar mower and rototiller along with the duel wheel kit and wheels and tires. the guy had a 42" Simplicity snowplow with a graderblade cutting edge and hitch he didn't know what it fit I did so he threw that in to. Rob has that all so. I am still looking for a 46" snow/dozer blade.
Putter Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Welcome back Maynard. Nice looking tractor. As always thanks for all the e-bay links. :) Putter
MPH Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Lots of miles Maynard. the 212 looks like it was worth it all, nice addition..MPH
UCD Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 Well I might be MIA again. My computer decided to go south on me Friday afternoon. Contacted warrantee co. and they will fix it but getting a repair co. to do it is another thing. Every one on vacation or going on vacation. Can't get a date to get it repaired. I am using Ann's pc but have limited time on it and no access to my files.
JoeJ Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Maynard, Very Nice!!! Good to have you back.
