ReedS Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 In my travels I spotted a B112 for sale on the side of the road. It had a mower deck and a variable drive. I inquired with homeowner as to price etc and was told that the tractor belonged to one of his friends and that he was asking $500 which the homeower said he felt was a bit much and that $400 was closer to a reasonable price altough that is more than I want to spend given the condition of the tractor,tire were mix and match brands(no 2 alike), faded paint(not too rusty),a torn seat, a side post batt stuffed in the batt tray and a slight rod knock.Imo $300 would be a fair price but I'm not sure if that would fly. On the plus side it started right up, did not smoke, appears to be nearly complete and while I did not drive it, it apparently is very drivable according to the homeowner who said at least one other person test drove it around the yard. I was also told that the tractor had been there for 3 months, hmmmm. Unfortuately I have no pics, but if there is anyone who is interested in it let me know, I'l be happy to pick it up, hold it, or bring to the show in oct

roneil Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Maybe if enough people are interested we can part it out. I know I'm looking for a mower deck for my 67' 3012 and I think that one would work. I'm in Mass also and I don't anticipate many chances this close to home. If it's in good shape ( the deck ) I'd probably go 50-100 bucks. Just an idea. Bob
ReedS Posted August 29, 2003 Author Posted August 29, 2003 Bob, thats a start, The deck looked ok but I didn't exactly take out my magnifying glass either, also keep in mind that it's yellow. Still would have to get this by my wife! I also dislike the idea of dismantling a runable tractor unless its really beyond hope which this one is not IMO. Btw less than two miles from this one I spotted a b10 in use mowing a lawn!
