mbrook Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 I just called on an "old siplicity tractor for sale". The owner said he wants to get rid of it and is willing to deal. He said its a re-built 8hp, comes with deck and snowblower. The only other description is that it has a "horseshoe shaped steering wheel". He doesn't know model or year. Based on that description what would be your guess?
MPH Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Steering wheel would sound like older B series. 8 hp, don't know, maybe Broardmore series, is the engine vert or hortz. shaft? That would help a lot..MPH
Kent Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Probably a Broadmoor 728 or 738, based on only that info... They are absolutely great little mowers, once they went to this 3-speed tranny!
mbrook Posted August 29, 2003 Author Posted August 29, 2003 Well I went to look at it. It's a Broadmore, engine has been replaced. Condition is fair to good, seat is torn and hasn't run since he brought it home 2-3 yrs ago. The reason it hasn't run is just not used it. My guess would be it would start and run if it had fresh gas and a battery. Was hoping to see the High/Low range option but it wasn't there. deck is solid and blower looks good. If anybody is interested let me know, I think I'm going to pass on this one. He is asking $150 for and is willing to deal.
