insco7 Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 i have a squire tractor that I use to mow my lawn with. A passer by informed me it may be quite valuble. It is a serial # 26x3906 iI think. The plate is rather worn. It says model 990239 squire article 1201. It has 42 inch deck plus sickle bar and snow plow and wheel weights. Any help on the value of my old gem would be welcome.

I'm not sure about the overall price but I've seen the sickle bar sell for $200-$300 dollar range. It would help to have an idea of the shape its in such as is it rusty?,does it run? and are the tires in good shape? I hope this helps, JH
insco7 Posted August 30, 2003 Author Posted August 30, 2003 It is not rusty but the paint is not in great condition. I think my dad replaced the engine in the 70's with a Briggs 8hp. The back tires are original and in pretty good shape but the original fronts had to go. It still runs and mows like a champ. I used it all last winter to plow the neighborhood. Mower deck works well but I don't have the belts to run the sickle bar.
