328 Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 I did not know all caps was called shouting. I'll try to do better. I've had several complaints. I'm usally on a computer at work, at then end of the day, transfer forms are typed. Medicare wants everything in all caps. I just forget to change it. This is probably in the wrong place, but its not the first thing i've messed up today.
roneil Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 Not a big deal.. The fact that you are here and contributing is the important thing.
Kent Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 No need to apologize, and please don't take it personally. It's just that all caps is MUCH harder to read...
andy gartner Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 NO BIGGIE, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DRIVE A TUNA CAN OR SUV, YOU'LL BE FINE. NICE TO SEE YOU HERE.
roneil Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 I wonder which Andy that was..... This is getting scary[:0][:0][:0]

jjouelle Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Don't feel bad, I work in engineering where everything is written or typed in capital letters. I've gotten to the point where I can't write in lower case anymore.

I've gotten to the point where I can't write in lower case anymore. Me too. I have to force myself to write in conventional upper and lower case. I don't do long hand anymore and probably haven't in 10 to 20 years. All my field notes are printed, generally in caps, but with some lower case included. Half the time I encode the stuff as I go so people leaning over my shoulder can't read it anyway. What a mess. [:0] Steve
MN_FISH Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Steve I print notes in the field also & if I don't decipher them in to long of a time span I don't understand them either. Depends on what PC you are using but windows has a setting to let you know when your caps are left on. I believe it is in the handicap settings. I should use it myself because I type with one finger and a lot of times my first letter B)of a sentence is lowercase and the rest caps. I just redo it the right way. Oh well we're only human?? Just think it's not your first mistake or your last :o)? Now if it is a quick post I open up my inbox in outlook and click send mail to the first one in my address book and type the post & spellcheck it and cut it and close the box and paste it here. A lot quicker than opening up word^ Some times you have to SHOUT:D
Agricola Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Exactly who decided all CAPS is shouting. I think BOLD is much more like shouting. IMHO
Guest Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 I agree with Agircola, although somtimes I need to SHOUT. I have a hard time hearing after all the noise that stupid Super Trapp muffler makes, but that is a another story.[V]
