patrician12 Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 At the expense of sounding like a total moron what is the outstanding noticable difference between a 700 series and a 900 series A/C tractor?
Kent Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 A 2" longer front frame to clear the V-twin engines... if you can notice it...
Brent_Baumer Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 The center PTO pulley setup is slightly different too. The 700 series has both pulleys on one shaft and bracket. On the 900 series the lower, larger idler is fixed (well there is some adjustment) and the smaller upper one is spring loaded on the rocker shaft. Snowthrowers on the 700 are driven from a front PTO, and from the center PTO on the 900 series. Brent
SmilinSam Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 900 series Seat decks are different at the hinge end and are not interchangable between series. 900 series Steering rods exit under the frame rather than through the side of the frame. Headlights are full round glass on the 900 series rather than smaller bulbs behind lens covers. Hydraulic lift was an option on all but the first year or two of the 900 series.
Steell Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 The 900 series hood is taller/longer/wider than the 700 series, and the running boards are different (at least on the ones I have). Steve
