A/C416H Vickers Hydro "dead"

I have a 75/76 416H with the vickers hydro,worked fine for a year or so, now it trys to blow hoses off and will lug the big 16 down and kill the motor. Need to know something about this unit or maybe find a good used one, can this one be fixed?, I would entertain the idea of changing the whole drive unit to a six speed if nessasary. I just got done rebuilding the tiller and deck, and then rest of this tractor is in super shape.

Hi David, Sorry to hear about your trans acting up. But there is another fellow member to which you might of seen his postings or replies and his name is Dave or Dlc. If he or another memer can't help you with a suggestion on how to fix your trans I think Dave might have a good used one. Hey Dave Just a shot in the dark. some odd things to check pull the filter out and see if part of it is gone that will plug things up in the wrong place. also the hoses if they are old they could have seperated with age check for real soft spots in them if you find one the inner part of the hose could be bulging on the inside. that is like sticking a cork in it. these are some odd and overlooked things that i have run into with other hydraulic systems in the past. let us know when you get it fixed.
