Hydraulic Lift kit for a 7016H

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if Simplicity still sells a 7000/7100 series hydraulic lift kit that can be installed on my 1977 7016H? If so, what is the Mfgr. number? I'm adding a 7000 power steering kit and might as well go whole hog while it's torn apart. If anybody's been crazy8) enough to have done either of these conversions I'd appreciate any do's & don'ts you have learned.

Hi, You might want to check and see if you shouldn't change the charge pump in the hydro. As I recall when the hydraulic lift came out, the charge pump was changed to one with a thicker gerotor to increase the volume. May be OK as is, but I suspect the power steering may significantly be affected by the transmisisons needs and vice/ versa. You might even think about looking at a cat power steering pump and try to work it in under the gas tank. This would completely separate the two from the hydro. My 2 cents worth and its free, value accordingly. Good luck, Al Eden
