pulley problem

I just recieved my bevel gear shaft pulley after 3wks.of waiting but I dont think it is correct the original pulley was a stamped steel one and it was a little larger in diameter. The new one part no.157694 is a cast unit 04.300 od and 0.876 id. it seems a little too snug to fit on the bevel gear shaft on my 64 landlord is this the correct replacement to drive my mower pto? or can Ijust have it machined to fit on the shaft and use it ? IF I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 3WKS IT WILL LOOK LIKE JUNGLE AROUND HERE!!!(JUST KIDDING) THANKS JBLACK.

Hi jblack, Ok now remember I measured mine on the tractor so please take that into account. The pulley is a stamped one and it measures approx. 5"dia. and my shaft measures 7/8"dia.-Now my manual is showing a part# of-157121 and that looks like a stamped steel one. I hope this helps you.-->jackl<--

Hi Again jblack, the pulley # that I gave you is the # of the pulley I have on my 1964 landlord write now. And I have had it for 15 years and its the same one that came on it then. The pulley should be snuck sliding on the shaft and not to the point of having to hammer it on. You should be able to file the set screw marks off the shaft and then put some oil on and slide the new one on if its the write one. Call Mark at University Lawn and make sure it is the write one. Its long distance and he might be busy "BUT" tell them its a long distance call and hopefully Mark can get write with you.#248-3737220 if your interested. Good Luck again-->jackl<--
