I have a 1976 Model 102 Cub Cadet with a 10 hp Kohler
engine. It has a 42" mower deck but no other attachments.
Runs good; does not use oil. Was in storage for the
last 8 of 10 years. Have owner manuals.

Overall condition is good but has typical Cadet "floppy"
steering.

I know this is an AC/Simplicity site but wondered if
someone can tell me how much to ask for this tractor.

Thanks,

Kraig,

You may be right. It could be a 1966 instead of a 1976.
The S.N. is 185086 if it will help identify the year
model.

I only have the Operator's Manual for the tractor. The
publication number is "1 082 592 R1. 10-21-66-13B".
Could 10-21-66 be the date?

I do have a Zerox copy of an exploded mower deck showing
the parts. I got it from my Cub dealer last year. If
it will help you, and I can figure out how to work my
scanner, I could e-mail it to you. Let me know if you
want a copy.

To All,
Thanks for the feedback.

Roy

The model 102 was built in 1966 not 1976. Do you have the owners manual for the mower? I would like to get a photocopy of the mower manual if you have one.

To All,

Kraig is correct. According to the serial number the
tractor is probably a 1966 model. The serial number
series ran from 1965 through 1967.

I took some digital pictures of the 102 this evening if
anyone is interested. E-mail me and I will send the
pictures.

My apologies for the error.

Roy,

With that serial number it would be a 1966 or early 1967 model. The publication number could contain the date. There are probably a few folks over at the Cub forum that might be interested in a copy of the tractor Operator's Manual. Thanks for letting me know on the mower deck. Sounds as if I can just as easily get a copy of the exploded view of the mower from my dealer. Thanks

Kraig

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
