Jack's now has online Simplicity parts lookup

I was just informed today that Jack's Small Engines now has an on-line parts lookup for Simplicity parts. (They had earlier loaded Briggs and Kohler engine parts). You can select the manufacturer, enter the Simplicity part number and get an on-line price quote. I tried it with a belt part number, and it works.... Check it out.[A href='http://www.jackssmallengines.com/partsearchform.html']http://www.jackssmallengines.com/partsearchform.html[/a]

Hi, I have been away from this forum for over a year. Thats how long it has taken us to build the data base on our site. I am hoping that time will now be available to address other concerns that our customers have. The data base contains part numbers from most major manufactures. All currently available parts are listed. If you search for a part number and do not get a hit, the part is no longer available from Simplicity (or any of the other manufactures supported). One thing that you will have to do is key the number exactly as instructed on the search page. The only bug that we (think ;-)) we have is that Snapper has appended a capital P to the end of their part numbers. If you guys find a glitch on any page, we would really like to know about it. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for bearing with us as we all learn this new thing called the internet. Thank You, Jack

I also checked out the Parts/Price function! WOW!!! I have order twice from JACKS. The first time I was scared because even after you placed the order and gave the credit card number you had no idea what this was costing. I commented about this on the order form and someone from JACKs called me to tell me the price of the parts! Some of the stuff had to be ordered from the factory and they told me it would take a little longer. I was very happy!! The second order took alittle longer because something happened (I don't know what) that caused my order to be delayed a week. The money I saved from the 10 % off list and no sales tax and FREE shipping was worth the wait!!! I plan on ordering again for the third time as soon as I get another $75.00 woth of parts!

I don't know - I turned in my regular $5,000,000 parts order to Jack and the system locked up - must of "overloaded" it! I guess I will have to try Simplicity. I think it may be a decimal problem. :) Just kidding Jack - I know that must take a lot of work setting up and testing automation systems - even for an experienced tech like yourself. Bugs, bugs, bugs - where's the exterminator when you need him?

When I try to go to the link that Kent shows in his message about the parts page I get a 'not found' message! What am I doing wrong?

I just tried going to the main page for Jack's and it didn't work either. I'll assume that he's having "technical problems" of some kind -- I can certainly empathize.....

Bugs - bugs - bugs - boy its a good thing our tractors don't work this way or we would NEVER get the lawn mowed! Got to hand it to Bill though - shows you can sell an idea, make LOTS of money and not even have the product ready - just call it "beta". Anyone ever cut with a "beta" tractor? I'll "beta" you haven't!
