Karl, Well the B-210/212 were made in 1969/70 so I would, probably wrongly, guess that the B-206 also is from that time frame. Tim

I find no serial # info on the 206 but my OEM belt/blade reference book dates production as 68/69 only. Bill

Does any one know what year this little lawn tractor was made.I bought one a few days ago with no engine on it.The model is a B-206 serial.no 1896.I know it takes a 6 hp briggs &stratton engine. The guy I bought it from put a 10h.p. Briggs&Stratton engine,he cut up one side of the hood and also the decal.I already have a 6hp B&S engine to put on it. Does any one have a picture of this tractor, are parts still available for this tractor. Thanks for you help Karl Brandt[A href='http://www.geocities.com/yosemite/falls/5395/index.html']http://www.geocities.com/yosemite/falls/5395/index.html[/a]

Karl, Well between the three of us we narrowed it down to some time between 63 and 70 and you thought you were confused before. Tim

The AC B-206 has a 3 speed tecumseh peerless transaxle model 624,B-206 has a 26" mower almost like the AC 405 riding mower, has dual trans belt with a center countershaft pulley setup. The tractor has pull start, just to the right side of the steering wheel. The front axle on this tractor pivots.I will take some pictures to put on my web site later.

It is similar, but not exact, to the Simplicity Broadmoor 990287,288,303,304 - vertical aluminum engine with a "pivoting" rear cast iron tiller capable transmission and 32-36" 3-blade floating full roller mower. Now that's a mouth-full! I believe yours also has the dual trans belt with a center countershaft pulley setup, they later switched over to a single belt. The Simp 6HP models were made from 1963-65. Many parts are still available but you will have to search out a used hood. If I remember most 6HP were "pull starts" but the 990904 was an electric start with a vertical generator which later became standard. Does your's have a 2speed hi-low trans? They later changed to 3spd. I currently use a similar 728 Broadmoor.
