wrisleyk Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 The center PTO assembly on my early B-10 is missing the spring relief handle, I think. The spring goes directly to the transmission via a one inch long bracket, which makes the mower belt too tight and also hard to put on. The parts book for an equivalent Landlord shows a handle and larger bracket between the spring and the transmission. Does anyone know if the early B-10 should also have this same set-up? I may need to make something for this. The strange thing is I aquired two early B-10's that are both set-up this way.
gregc Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 The early B-10, prior to serial no. 50001 were set up the way that yours is. Maybe the spring is the wrong one and you need one a little longer. If you don't already have a parts manual for your B-10, you can download one at this link: http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_3773_00_XX_A.pdf Hope this helps.
