I have sold several sets of Gators to customers. Of all the blades out I have had only one fellow complain that the Gators do not do as well as the regular blades. Most of the comments I get are they tend to pile less trash and do just as good a job as the regular blades. The only exception is in really wet conditioons they seem to tend to pack the deck tighter as the grass is ground finer and tends to stick. Under normal usage the gators are doing a fine job. Larry

Has anyone had any experience using the "Gator" type mulching blades on a Simp/AC mower?

These decks AREN'T designed for a re-cycling type blade as they are not hemispherical in shape,[the optimal design for recycling to be efficient.]so any blade will only work somewhat efficiently at best. dlc

Mulching is only "theoretical" anyway - except in the case of Simplicity's new timed belt mulcher mower - it is supposed to cut through swamps!
