maxtorman1234 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 Over the weekend, the bearings in my center spindle on my 48" deck for my 917 went. I also purchased a 712S with a deck. THe deck was rough but the bearings were good. I tried to see if i could put the centre spindle on the 48" deck by mounting it above the deck shell. Everything lines up so i tried it. It works. The blades seem to be at an even height but the centre seems to cut lower. What could be the problem? Thanks again.
fuzy Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 Do the blades line up tip to tip? If so then your deck needs to be releveled.
maxtorman1234 Posted October 24, 2003 Author Posted October 24, 2003 Thanks, i found the problem. THe center blade is about 1/4 of an inch lower than the other 2 blades. It cuts ok but i just have to find the right height and its kinda tricky with they hydraulic lift.
