JCS Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 I have been studying your pictures and posted questions before but got more... Your TEXAS LongHorn tractor seems to have metal collars for the hoses?? My plastic adapter diameter is one size and the collar on the vac is another size and then the discharge is another size??? O.K. 1. I get the T-7 from IHOSZ in WHAT SIZE and HOW LONG for adapter to vac. 2. I get T-7 is WHAT SIZE & HOW LONG for vac to cart? 3. I get T-7 in WHAT SIZE & HOW LONG for roving nozzle? 4. I make the metal nozzle out of what gauge metal and how long???

From deck to vac = 7" Diameter. Exact length depends on tractor model and type adapters (5' should be plenty). 2. Vac to cart = 6" diameter. 4' should be plenty. 3. Roving nozzle = Your choice on both diameter and length. I use 7" hose with a 6" diameter nozzle (theory that anything that will fit through the nozzle won't get blocked in hose). 12'-25' length works for me. 4. I made one nozzle from 26ga. flue pipe, another from schedule 40 PVC pipe, and another from stainless steel flex pipe. 3'-5' length seems right for me. I prefer the stainless flex at 4'.
