bud119195 Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 I noticed a leaking axle seal on my 627 yeoman , can anyone tell me the easy way to fix it? and do i have to remove the whole rearend? Thanks
rjgoth Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 There have been a few posts on here regarding axle seals, and from those responses you should be able to slide the old seal off, and put a new one back on with out doing a rearend disassembly. Take extra care to not scrape up the new seal when you slide it back over the axle. There are others in this club who are much more knowledgeable with doing this than I am, Id leave the final word on this question up to them. Try doing a search on axel seals. This is a huge amount of knowledge shared and posted on this site.
