JamesK Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 I was talkin to a guy today he said he has a simplicity 707 from the 60's . He says it runs and needs some TLC. He also said he has a snowblower with it and 2 decks. He is lookin to clear out his shed and said $100 OBO. I went into the gallery and looked at some of the 700 series there. But did not find any 707's could someone shed some light as to what this tractor might look like body wise. He also said it was a 8HP model. Thanks James K.
KSever Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 James, It should look like this Broadmoor. Great little tractors and very strong running. If you click on Simple trACtors on the main menu above and then do a search. There are many pictures and alot of information that Kent has taken alot of time to put together on these tractors. As for the $100 that is a good price for what you are getting. I paid $200 for my first 717 Broadmoor that had the wagon, mower deck, and snowblower. But hey see if he will talk down. I would offer him $50 and see if he takes it, I got my last AC 314 6 months ago for $50 and Sunday I'm going to go pick up the other attachments that the guy finally parted with for free after no luck trying to sell them. JamesK Posted October 24, 2003 Author Posted October 24, 2003 The guy says the blower need some cosmetic help but the rest is in nice shape. I am looking for a decent B-10 but figured if i could pick this up and resell or trade. ill check out kens info.. Thanks James K.
JamesK Posted October 24, 2003 Author Posted October 24, 2003 oh yeah one I do rremember him saying it had a long narrow battery like a old car. And it also has the high and low gear/pully box. James K.
simplicity707 Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 I've got to Broadmoors, a 707 and a 1964 Broadmoor. The most I paid for both of them was $5.00. The 707 I rescued out of barn that was to be torn down, and the '64 out of the weeds in some guys backyard. Although the engine on it was stuck, it still had the s/g on it! I wish I had a snow thrower for mine though. I guess a blade will have to do for this until I can find one next year.
dads707 Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 It is well worth 100.00. I still have my fathers 707, but it only has the 32 in. deck. It depends on how much you want something. Be careful, these things are addictive. I have 5 Simplicity's, and am now looking for a 7116 or comparable.....
