Put a blank line between the two pics, they'll show up stacked instead of side by side... Cute little thing, for $20 I'd grab it!!

Right color for a toro though I think toros engine was a little further forward. Could be a Rugg, or a Huffy or one of several others. I also think the toro had a hole in the hood for the gas tank, but maybe not every model.

When drove up to it I noticed the '5' (5hp) on the side and thought it was an 'S'...maybe a rare one-off Simplicity...The front tires are solid rubber and the back are still inflated.

I missed the rear of it at first. Toro did have the crank height adjuster behind the seat too.

Also says 'Tru-test' on the engine cover...Maybe sold by Tru-Value???

That tractor looks like a K-mart unit my Grandfather give me about 35 years ago. He removed the mower deck and I had a lot of fun with it. It had a 4hp Briggs and was light greenish blue and if I remember correctly was a Springfield? Other than the color and minor differences in the hood it was identical.

That little tractor is a Rugg. I have one like it but mine is a bit newer, it has a fiberglass hood not metal like the picture. My motor numbers idicate it was built in 1967, the pictured one must be a few years earlier. I've seen several with Tru-test labels, also a 7 hp. Rugg made these guys for with several diferent names. They work by pushing the foot lever down to engage the drive. Mike
