Hi Guys, My first attempt at some pic's The old girl with blower.......... It has a new hood paint job ....(seat /pan and tranny were painted a fews months ago....) Here's a pic of the tranny from Jimmy V.

It is gonna be gone thru next year ....it's a replacement for the original... Here's my attempt of a heater for the exhaust ,notice the new/used original muffler .....from "TheDaddyCat" ^

Here's a pic of the original tranny ,the R.H. axle tube broke and with the help of "Squeaky" (I believe) and my new welder I rebuilt the hollow tube and reinforced it with another hollow pipe over the original .....should work well .....Time will tell....

Thanks for everyone's help ......it's good too know that there are other Big Boys who like the same toys I do.... I'm never gonna grow up ! See Ya Jim BTW the black tranny does not have an adjustment like the orange tranny on the tractor for the posi trac....any input would be great !

Wow Jim, that looks pretty slick. I can't wait for the white stuff to really start coming down.talk to you soon.

Looks like new! The way you painted the linkages, etc..., black, and the tranny red, is a nice touch--really sets it off, gives it more interest than if it was all one color. Very nice job!

sweet nice job and the shots are good too. I have an original muffler comming for one of my tractors too. Now going on Alice as I get her ready for the wards blower I have. The hydro lift will be great with that heavy chunk out front.

With out a close-up of the diff I can't tell but some of those diff's have allen head screws for the "slip" adjustment instead of the square head cap screw. Just my2c worth. Beyond that that is a fine looking tractor you have.

That is a nice looking tractor.Tony

Thanks for the nice comments guys ! The diff does not have the bolts on an angle.....I have just the diff ,and then the hub for the wheel, which has a bushing on either end and a grease fitting on it ,and two small set screws...are these the posi adjustment ???? TIA Jim

Yes Jim, That should be the set screws for the limited slip adjustment. Tigten these set screws and you will tighten the limited slip to make it more like posi. I had to play with these settings a bit to get it to turn how i like with out digging up my yard. Ryan

Here's the pic that didn't load the first time around ...

Jim: Again, great lookin' machine. But what't that tin cowcatcher-looking thing on the front? I've not seen one before--is it some kind of deluxe PTO cover? And I like those 2-link tire chains--got another set? LOL. Peter

I have other sets of chains ......but I don't think they will fit a 23x8.5-12 tire .....I just cut down a set of V-bars for the Snapper to push some snow with ... The cattle pusher is the cover for the snowblower belt.... The fun never ends .... Jim

That's a beauty. Sister to a B-12. I am sure you like it fine. I do mine.

Hey, that is inspiration for me. Nice machine. I should go out keep working on my 9hp Wards. Can you take a pic of the diff side of the axle? Sounds like your rear end is from a later tractor - more modern. As far as I know, if it does not have the bolts at an angle(the ones that look like lug bolts), then it is the later style. These diffs have a set of springs in them to preload the planet gears, giving it the limited slip effect. If they are a 1/4" or so diameter allen set screw, don't loosen them up - they hold your RH wheel hub in place! If it slips, then the hub can move out away from the internal diff gears and break stuff. Many of these parts can be interchanged/updated, so seeing the diffs guts is the only definitive way to know if it is limited slip or not. Hope this helps.
