This is a good looking tire. Four ply 23X8.5X12 $58.00

http://www.greenball.com/tires/agricultural.htm I have an outlet for them right here in Falmouth, Ky. Amazing. I just called the # for my area on the contact page and found a dealer. I like their looks and they are different. I noticed that there are only 10 lubs spaced out around the tire. 20 if you count both sides. (Does that last statement make any sense?) They also make a triple rib front tire. 4.80X8 $15.00

Good deal Dale. If you have the chance could you see if they know of a dealer around Louisville or LaGrange? The tri-ribs look great too! Larry

Something that I haven't seen talked about with Ag tires are the way the bars are layed out in the center. The ones shown in the above picture will make for a pretty bumpy ride but more to the point will be much harder on rear axles. There are Ag bar tires made that the bars turn and point forward on reaching the center and there is very little, if any "Gap" . On hard packed dirt or pavement a turf tire will get a better grip anyway. But in mud and soft dirt your Ag bars do a better job. The Ags with the cross over tread will work better on hard pack and darn near as good in the loose stuff as the more open tread. Just my 2 cents worth.

Dont really care how they do or what they will do for you, I just think they make any tractor look cool!lol Elon

Dale, Let us know what the prices are on those lugs, and if there's somewhere to "mail order" them... They look an awful lot like the Chen Shens that we can't find any more, though the lugs may not be quite as tall (i.e. depth of the tread). They do have the wide spacing, for sure...

That looks like an import tire they call a jumbo lug.My book only shows it in a 20-10.00-10.Dale you'll have to do some checking to see if they come in larger sizes.

I looked at their site and they do not post prices. The size listing for 12" rims are 7.00 or 8.50 wide. One thing they do that I like is give the rim width each tire size fits. Larry

If you go to the contact page of the Greenball site there will be a list of service centers with Numbers that you can call. I called the Manchester Ohio # and they sent me to a salesman who sent me to a distributor who sent me to the dealer here in Falmouth. I called the dealer and he did not even know he was and thought I was mistaken in the name GREENBALL. I laughed and assured him that he was a dealer. Gave him the item #'s and he is going to check it out and let me know. The Distributor said that he would ship the tires direct to me if I wanted. I just needed to go through their dealer. Tell me fellows, Is there a big difference between a 4.00 tire and a 4.80 as far as diameter is concerned. I have simply not had the time to go by anyplace that would have both sizes and check it out. The tri-rib that Greenball makes is 4.00 X 8.00. OEM size was 4.80 X 8.00. The diameter of the 4.00/8 Greenball is 16.7"

The 4.00 and 4.80 measurements are the width of the tire. Now it seems unusual to find one that is marked as one or the other, it seems most are marked 4.00/4.80 X 8... That said, I think you'll find that the "true 4.80" to be almost 1" taller than a "true 4.00" tire.... Visually, the 4.00 looks smaller than the factory turf tire while the 4.80 looks bigger.... BTW, Tucker Tire on eBay was selling true 4.80 imported tri-ribs for $40 a pair, including tubes, plus $12 (I think) shipping, for a total of $52. I got a pair for my 2012/loader... I didn't see any currently listed, but you may want to try emailing them.

Dale, do you know if the dealer near you stocks the tri-ribs? Cedar Rapid tire is out of stock. Both the ones on my B-112 are ready to blow, fact I'm gonna rob the ones off the 725 til my 'snow dogs' get to Fairbanks and I go back up there. Plan on studding them andfilling them with fluid and hope to find new rims {Dan, Dan, the tractor man?}, by springtime for summer tires..MPH

He has them on order. Should be available next week. I ask if He would ship to club members and he said he would. Let me know and I will get you the info.
