gregc Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Took a short trip today to get the 7014S that I bought on ebay. It seems to be in pretty good shape mechanically, a little surface rust, charging circuit needs repair but it has a new battery and cables... Good 42" mowing deck. It has the rear lift kit, a rear work light and the front PTO clutch. Gave $307 for it and I feel pretty good about it. I think I'm gonna like that shuttle.
tanman722001 Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Hi Greg,Sounds like u got a good tractor there.Im sure you will enjoy it.Tony
JoeJ Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 :DLooks real good Greg!! ;)But looks a bit crowded in there.
ehertzfeld Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 nice one there Greg. Looks like you got quite a garage there! What you count up to? Elon
gregc Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 It is getting a little crowded here. I've got ten tractors in there now but I've got another 26 X 48 garage out back that I can use half of if I ever clean out the junk. There's another Broadmoor in there already and other parts.
ehertzfeld Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Good deal! I got to get me some more. Question is how to convince the wife I need more! lol Elon
gregc Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Elon, Tell your wife it's an investment. You can most always sell the parts for more than whole tractors cost, if you buy right.;)
IronPony Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Morning Greg, I have an AC712S that is Kohler powered. I changed out the 12hp for a 16hp. I think yours is B&S powered. That 14hp will be plenty for you. I really like the Shuttle shift for both mowing and snow plowing. Wish something like your new one there would come up close to home for me. Close to home would be within 500 miles or so. Have fun with it and let us all know what it takes to put her back on here feet. Dan
MarkM1958 Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 It must have worked, what did you tell your wife so maybe I can use it when I get my turn of luck!!!
MDB Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Looks like you got a good deal there Greg,8D Good looking tractor at a great price^
gregc Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Thanks for all the comments guys. Mark, I tell my wife just what I told Elon to tell his. Part of the money spent is just for the hobby or fun of fixing them up and using them, but I still have them to sell if I ever want or need to. The tractors and parts should bring more in the years to come.;)
andy gartner Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Well Greg, Your 7014S looks terrific! At an incredible price as well. You did great! A journey well worth it, and a lot of tractor for $300 buckaroos sonny!!! Hope it runs up to your expectations. Yesterday, took a little trip down the road myself, and as promised, here's a pic of the haul.
MPH Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Greg, you better get to cleaning the 24 x 48 shed out. Thanks for the count, I was tring to count without recounting any. Nice haul Andy, Landlord and PK. Whats the big iron behind the PK?? MPH
andy gartner Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Hi Marty, In front, is a beautifully elegant, 1962 Wards/725 tractor. Behind the PK is an Economy snow blade.
gregc Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Andy, Your finds keep getting better and better. Great looking machines!8D Gotta see some more pics of the PK and the Wards.
Roy Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 I have always wanted a PK. I think they are "cool".
DaleC Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Andy, You will have to take some more pictures and show us that great find unloaded. Give some details.
andy gartner Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Ok Dale, Greg, et al, It all started w/a SimpletrACtors classified search for a sickle bar. 300 miles latter, I find an orig owner SB, 1962 Wards Garden Mark Squire/725, implements, manuals, and a... "By the way, know anyone interested in this 'other' tractor? Bought the SB. Three weeks latter, rented 16' tandem axle trailer and brought all home, including the 'other', a 1978 Economy Power King 1612 with 48" deck, and dozer/snow blade. Missed a 7016 H non-runner for $100 cause it was repainted like an AC716, and wasn't sure if it had been moved, before the hydro disengage lever raised, amongst other mysteries. But, meet a nice chick at Burger King who would sit my Great Dane, while I'm out finding tractors.
gregc Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 Very, very nice Andy! You were right on about that Wards being taken good care of... what a find.;) You're getting really good at this. Congrats, and have fun with the new toys.
MPH Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Thats a pretty cherry looking PK. has it been repainted? Never seen an orange Mark squire posted before...MPH
