Bill8203 Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 I guess I need to break down and buy a digital camera so I can post some of my pictures a few weeks sooner. Anyway rokon2813 posted a message on 10/23/ on his great find for $10.00. I don’t know how many of our members have a hammer mill type shredder that fits on the Allis or Simplicity anyway here some pic’s of mine. I haven’t used it since I bought my power vac system 4 years ago but it worked great. :)
MPH Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 Bill, can you find a model # on that shredder? I know where one is for 200 bucks but is mounted on wheels and has its own engine. It doen't have the chipper feature so I haven't thought about it much..thanks..MPH
Tacey Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 Sharp lookin' yard, Bill8203! It's hard to believe a 30+ year old tractor could produce such results. Got any more pix of that old B? Tacey
Bill8203 Posted November 2, 2003 Author Posted November 2, 2003 MPH: It still has the manufactures original tag on it it was made by American MacKissic model 750A sn 004106. I wish this one had a chipper feature on it. I have shredded branches up to 1 inch but I don’t recommend it
Bill8203 Posted November 2, 2003 Author Posted November 2, 2003 Tracy: Thanks for the complement. I don’t have a pic for my B 212 (I hate to it looks rough) but I will be posting some pictures of the mower deck I just rebuilt.
sun41bird Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 i found an old roto-hoe that i found out for the garbage it looks just like that one i built a rear hitch for it and ran a belt i works pretty good on the small stuff
hpk3 Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 I have the Simplicity version of your chipper. Works well on garden waste. If you need a parts/instruction manual, write Amerind Mackissic. They were very helpful.
JimV Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 I just brought one home the other day. I can't wait to try it out.
MPH Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 Thanks Bill, next time I'm down anchorage way I'll have to check it out closer. Them strips sure add a touch of class to a nice yard.. How old is your Troybuilt??
