Now if I can just remember where this peice goes.....hahaha. After a month of disassembly and glassbeading and painting of a couple hundred bolts nuts and larger peices now the fun begins. REASSEMBLY! Thanks for everyones help so far and if you have any hint to add before I go further (make sure you put locktite on.....) please let me know.

Nice job man. You sure are doing it right, those parts look real nice. As long as you did good documentation, and have assembly drawings you should be all set, just take your time. And when your all done, if you have a few pieces or bolts left, then you know that something is wrong. lol. I think your doing a great professional looking job with the restoration. Send a pic in when you are all finished up. On a side note what are you using to replace the dash decal? Or are you keeping the original one? Good luck with the re-assembly. Ryan

That one will certainly look sharp.... too nice to use, only show! Man, I can only imagine how much time that took to sandblast, prep and paint!!!!! BTW, was your dash originally yellow? I notice that you have it painted yellow, instead of white.... I've seen pictures of yellow dashes, perhaps of prototypes or "mules" used for photo shoots, but never actually seen one. All I've seen were white...

Nice job ! How about details on what had to be replaced/rebuilt etc. Are you going back with new fasteners, bearings, seals etc ? Its really something to do a quality job like that. For years to come you will see it and think " I really did that " !

I think the dash is yellow on my Big Ten. I could be wrong. I will have to look. Is That unusual?
Posted
Dale, I've yet to see a "production model" with a yellow dash... I really don't know how unusual a yellow dash would be, but I've never seen one.

I'm impressed! That will be one fine looking tractor.

Yes I am going with new fastners and bearings except the wheel bearings they are good and I did'nt tear into the transmission.

BigOrange you've done it now! If my wife sees these pics I'll have to tear down the B-10 and Big Ten both and go through them like you are doing! Man that looks great! Congrats on a heck of a job, and the gumption to tackle it. Larry

Kent, Mine may be yellow with bleed through rust. It has seen a lot of use and years! It needs a good painting. I am impressed with the spray can jobs I have seen. I have used spray cans on motor parts but never on body work. I am getting the bug to SPRAY.

My late b10 is Yellow and it does not look as though the dash was ever white. It has bumble bee decals and was sold new in may of 67.

Nice job on the tractor, And a nice clean garage too, with all those parts around, it looks like your about to film a show like Crank & Chrome where they rebuild engines, Now only if I can keep my workshop that clean...

John, Nice job. Shouldn't the blower housing and pulley for the flywheel be black (to be correct color-wise)? Tom(PK)

Big Tens were the last ones with yellow engines and yellow drivetrains. Late-model B-10s used a black engine and black drivetrain... DaleC & jkmustang1 -- can you get some pictures of your tractors? And perhaps the Product Number (same as MFR #) and serial numbers off them? Just looking for more pieces to this puzzle. Sounds like the yellow dashes may have been at the end of the Big Ten production run, and the beginning of the B-10s again...

The blower housing was origanally yellow.
